Ministries At St. Mary's Church
Ministry To The Homebound
St. Mary’s has several parishioners who minister to the homebound with regular visitations to bring Holy Communion to those who are unable to attend Mass. If you know of someone who is homebound and desires Holy Communion, please contact the Parish Office at 585-229-5007 to make arrangements for a visit.
Social Ministry
St. Mary’s Social Ministry efforts are intended to offer parishioners the opportunities to advocate for and reach out to the underserved in our community and beyond. We are all called to hold our legislators to the highest moral and ethical standards as well as to give of our talents, both time and treasure, for the relief of suffering among those least able to help themselves. Among our ongoing ministries are assistance to the Honeoye Food Pantry, Christmas Giving Tree and baskets, prison programs and the Catholic Relief Services’ Operation Rice Bowl. St. Mary’s also played a central role, both financially and physically, in the construction of a Habitat for Humanity house in 2007. See Deacon Roger Loomis for more information on this ministry.
St. Mary's Choir
For many years, St. Mary’s has been blessed with a vibrant, enthusiastic and devoted choir that brings alive the Mass with songs of praise and worship. We currently have twenty-five dedicated members. If you are interested in our choir, please see the Choir Director. Practice is typically held in St. Mary's Church on Thursdays, but consult with the Parish Calendar for the latest schedule.
The Choir Director is Kay C. Gordon and our Musician is Sheila Gotham.
Unity Council
St. Mary's Church has two representatives on the Unity Council and they are Maggi Masci and Sharon Brown.
